I was looking for a 61 2dr HT Fury to restore, long story, but it's very personal to me because it's a labor of love to honor my Mother, who passed away last April. I am not interested in "points" at a show, so I am ok hope purists don't hate me to take a Belvedere and "convert Mistress Vi to a Fury which is what she hadI just don't know what that involves.

The main diff in was the name script and the badges on the fins. Maybe some door panel options would be different as well. Find some brochures from and research, look, poke around, and google.

All engines and all transmission combinations were available in all series except for convertibles and sport wagons which came with V-8 engines only. The differences between Savoy, Belvedere and Fury consisted of interior trim, exterior trim, and standard equipment. The 1958 Plymouth Fury Vs Belvedere lighter, for example, was optional in a Savoy but standard on the Billiga Flanellskjortor. The exterior trim on a Fury was available only on the Fury.
To show you the differences, I am attaching some scans - Fury and Belvedere hardtops and the Savoy 2-door sedan.
Also some interior scans, American and Canadian. The Canadian-built Plymouth used the seats and door panels of the Dodge Dart.

I 1958 Plymouth Fury Vs Belvedere a belvedere but it does not have the sky high window. Not that I am building this car to deceive anyone, flip it, or enter it into a show as a true fury, but if I was going to build a car in my Mom's memory, I would want it to be correct, you know?
So, I either have to locate a Belvedere with the sky high window, or a true fury. Thanks again! I have always love the roofline on the two-door hardtops from that year. If I did another ''58 Coronet, I would graft that roof on the car! Later KFD. Delete all cookies set by this site.
